How We Work Together
My approach adapts to what a given session calls for. Some clients need structure and gentle direction; others need space to find their own way through, with me there to witness and reflect.
My Approach
I move between warm and directive, collaborative and following, spacious and unhurried - whatever the moment asks for. Ultimately, the foundation is curiosity, and creating the space to better understand ourselves.
Many therapists rely strictly on a rigid EMDR protocol during their intensives which can sometimes feel overwhelming or can feel like you’ve hit a wall when protective parts of you shut down.
I specialize in integrating IFS with EMDR. This means we don’t force our way through the trauma. Instead, we actively collaborate with your parts to resolve the block. You get the accelerated speed and structure of EMDR, backed by the gentle, respectful depth of IFS. We get to the root of the issue without bypassing your system’s natural pacing.
✓ Pre-Intensive Interview
We identify the core beliefs, body sensations, and memories you're seeking relief from.
Your intensive includes

Built around your specific targets instead of a fixed protocol

✓ Post-Treatment Interview
We check in on how the changes are settling and support your adjustment afterward.
Why Choose Me for Your Intensive
Unlike most, my entire practice is built around intensives — this isn't a side offering alongside weekly caseloads. I bring advanced training suited to deep, concentrated work, stay curious about what each session needs, and treat your pace and your needs as the plan.
A free consultation is the place to find out if this is the right fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
All sessions are billed at a flat rate of $250 per hour. A half-day intensive typically runs 1,000–1,500; multi-day intensives fall in the 2,250-4,000+ range depending on length. Full details, including payment terms, are on the [EMDR Intensives page →].
-
Some clients use "retreat" to describe a multi-day intensive - several consecutive days set aside entirely for deep, focused EMDR work. It's a clinical process rather than a wellness getaway: structured sessions, a personalized workbook, and dedicated time to process specific memories without the interruptions of weekly life.
-
Yes. EMDR translates well to telehealth using tools like handheld tappers or on-screen guided eye movement. Because I'm licensed in California, virtual sessions are available as long as you're physically located in the state at the time of your appointment.
-
This varies by person and by what you're working through. Traditional weekly therapy can take months to reach the same depth an intensive covers in days, since intensives are built specifically to compress that timeline. A free consultation is the best way to get a realistic sense of what your process might look like.
-
Research on telehealth EMDR has grown substantially, and many clients find it just as effective as in-person work, particularly for processing single-incident trauma. Some complex or highly dysregulating presentations benefit from in-person sessions, which we can discuss during your consultation.
-
No. I'm out of network with all insurance providers, and most plans don't cover intensive formats. I'm happy to provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

I'm based in Ontario, CA, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles, and see clients throughout California, both in person and virtually.
